About

FM19 l MOTHER AND CHILD

THIS YEAR'S TOPIC

Anaesthesia for Mother & Child

During the two-day meeting, top speakers from many different countries will debate the challenges faced when taking care of the Mother & Child.

Interesting topics and updated research results related to fields of obstetric and paediatric anaesthesia will be presented, with the aim of approaching problems from different angles and considering mother and child as an indissoluble unit.

From routine care to extreme and challenging situations, this year focus meeting will cover the most relevant part of obstetric and paediatric anaesthesia care, with the unique opportunity to debate with renowned experts in these fields. High fidelity and procedural workshops will also run in parallel sessions, giving the opportunity to attendees to practice on real challenging cases and improve their skills on specific procedures.

ABOUT THE ESA AND FOCUS MEETING

The European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) is the leading organisation for anaesthesiology professionals. The ESA's global priority is to maintain the highest standards of practice and safety in anaesthesia, critical care, pain, and perioperative medicine, especially when anaesthesiologists are called to deal with highly specialized areas, like maternal and paediatric.

The key role of anaesthesiologists in the care of fragile populations is highlighted in the annual ESA Focus Meeting “ Mother & Child”, which addresses the fields of obstetric and paediatric anaesthesia with the aim of offering comprehensive understanding of the two subjects merging them into a single one.
